Introduction
Daily One Word ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our mobile application Daily One Word (the "App").
Information We Collect
Daily One Word does not operate an account or a cloud-sync service for journal entries. Entries are stored on this device by default, and the App does not send journal entries to Daily One Word servers. If you choose to share content through iOS, the selected content is passed to the destination you choose; that service may process it under its own privacy terms.
- Depending on your device settings, iOS backups may include App data.
- The built-in Word Card contains the day’s anchor word, date, color tile, App name, and QR code; it does not include notes, photos, or extra moments.
- No account creation or login is required
- No analytics or tracking tools are embedded in the App
Public Website Measurement
The public website records aggregate landing-page views, App Store button clicks, and requests redirected through a fixed QR link to the U.S. App Store to understand whether product information helps people find the download. A QR redirect is not evidence of an App Store download or a first save. The application event record is limited to event name, time, page version, language, intended App Store storefront, button placement, and a pre-approved source label. For recognized referrals, a fixed label may be inferred from the referring site's hostname; the full referrer URL, page path, and query string are not sent or retained by the event logger. It does not create or store a persistent browser identifier or include journal entries, mood records, photos, names, email addresses, IP addresses, browser user-agent strings, or arbitrary URL values. Unrecognized source values are discarded. The hosting provider may separately process standard request metadata to deliver and protect the website.
Data Storage
Journal entries are stored on this device by default; the App does not sync them through a Daily One Word cloud service. iOS backups may include App data according to your settings. When you choose to share content, the selected content leaves the App for your chosen destination. Deleting the App removes its local copy; backup copies may remain according to iOS settings.
Photo Access
If you attach photos to entries, they are stored in the App’s local data. Daily One Word does not send them to its servers, and they are not included in the built-in Word Card. An iOS backup may include App data according to your backup settings.
Children's Privacy
The App does not contain any content inappropriate for children. Since we collect no personal data, the App is safe for users of all ages.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
